THE LOCAL MARKET
We’ve seen another surge in the number of listings with REIWA reporting a 5.6 per cent increase in properties listed over the previous week taking the number of listings to 4,280. This rise was driven by a 7.8 per cent increase in house listings and a 6.2 per cent rise in unit listings. The overall number of properties for sale is up 14 per cent from four weeks ago, with sales transactions also up 9 per cent compared to the previous week, highlighting the true influx of properties and activity already this spring.

THE RENTAL MARKET
In the rental market, the number of properties available for rent fell by 3.1 per cent, with 2,024 properties available by the end of last week. While this represents a drop compared to four weeks ago, rental availability is still 19.7 per cent higher than a year ago, reflecting improved supply but ongoing demand.
