It’s been a hot start to autumn sales at White House Property Partners with SIX properties going under offer – most with multiple offers!
And we’re looking forward to another busy weekend ahead with FOUR new properties coming to market this week and some absolutely fantastic opportunities still available (more about those below).
A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
And speaking of the weekend, International Women’s Day this Sunday is a moment to acknowledge the contribution women make across every part of our community, business and family life, and the important role belief plays in this.
For those of you are are interested I share this story…
When I was growing up in Canada, I had two posters on my bedroom door. The one on the front said “Girls can do anything.” The one on the back it said “I believe in me.”
Those simple messages faced me everyday and have stayed with me. My parents, and particularly my mother and grandmother, instilled a belief from an early age that with hard work and determination I could achieve whatever I set my mind to. That encouragement — and the idea that anything was potentially possible — was a real gift. It’s a belief I also sought to instil in my two daughters as they were growing up.
When I was considering setting up White House Property Partners, I was scared. What if I failed? What if people laughed at me for thinking I could do this? My daughters (who were 19 and 21 at the time), along with my closest supporters – both women and men – had a strong belief that it was possible and that I would succeed. I’ll never forget them reminding me that the magic happens outside your comfort zone and that if it was to be, it was up to me.
I am incredibly grateful for the belief they had in me and for the belief instilled in me from a young age to think about was possible and to simply have a go.
In establishing White House Property Partners, I was deliberate about creating a business that embraced a more feminine approach to leadership, grounded in values, relationships and care for people, and one that recognises the value women bring to the table. I wanted to build a business where women and men feel supported to pair belief with hard work and determination to achieve great outcomes for their clients, their families and themselves.
Today, with over 80% of our team women, I am proud that we have created a workplace where people feel supported, valued and encouraged to flourish. What we have found is that this approach not only creates a supportive culture, but when belief, support and hard work come together, it can also achieve incredible results.
Diversity and inclusion are powerful in any organisation. Different perspectives, experiences and strengths lead to better ideas, better decisions and ultimately better outcomes for our clients and our community.
At White House, International Women’s Day is about recognising the value women bring to the table, creating opportunities for both women and men to flourish, and acknowledging achievements – both professional and personal.
While IWD provides an important moment for reflection, these are values we seek to live every day in how we work together and support one another for each other and for the benefit of our clients.
It is also a moment to thank you, our valued clients, for believing in what we do and the way we do it – because belief, encouragement and opportunity are often the starting point for what becomes possible.
