THE LOCAL MARKET
REIWA is reporting there were 3,310 properties available for sale at the end of last week, marking a 1.3 per cent increase from the previous week. This was driven by a 2.6 per cent rise in house listings, while unit listings slightly declined by 1.7 per cent. Listings for vacant land saw a modest increase of 2.2 per cent.
Looking at the bigger picture, the current number of properties for sale is 2.5 per cent higher than four weeks ago and remains a remarkable 37.3 per cent lower than the levels we saw a year ago.
REIWA is reporting a total of 871 transactions last week, a notable uptick in sales transactions across Perth. This reflects an increase of 4.2 per cent compared to the previous week. This rise was largely driven by a 3.6 per cent increase in house sales and a substantial 19.5 per cent jump in unit sales.

THE RENTAL MARKET
On the rental front, there were 2,426 properties available for rent at the end of last week, reflecting a 3.7 per cent decrease compared to the previous week. This figure is 6.5 per cent lower than four weeks ago but 32.4 per cent higher than the same time last year.
REIWA also reported that 706 properties were leased last week, which is an 11 per cent increase from the previous week, 7.6 per cent higher than four weeks ago, and a substantial 19.3 per cent rise from the same period last year.
At the coalface, our Property Management department experienced this shift in activity last week, with very strong attendance at our home opens and multiple applications received on a number of our available rental properties.
