THE LOCAL MARKET
With spring on our doorstep, the number of properties available for sale in Perth increased by 3.2 per cent last week, bringing the total to 3,465. While this figure is still 34.4 per cent lower than the same time last year, it’s 5.5 per cent higher than four weeks ago, indicating the expected shift of more listings coming to market as we head into optimistic spring!
REIWA is reporting a total of 805 transactions last week, a bit of a slowdown in sales activity, with transactions dropping by 6.8 per cent compared to the previous week.
At White House, we were pleased to have secured contracts for FOUR properties this past week.
While some owners continue to think that Auctions don’t work in Perth, last Saturday, Connie Handcock achieved another success under the hammer with 38 King Street, East Fremantle selling under the hammer after competitive bidding in front of a large crowd. We are thrilled for our wonderful young buyers who are excited to move to the area.
It was a busy week for Louise Pope and Catherine Fenna who put three properties under offer in the past seven days. Louise successfully negotiated multiple offers for the property at 31 Wiluna Avenue, White Gum Valley, with the a young couple grateful to have secured the property.
The wonderful family home at 27 Central Avenue, Beaconsfield was also placed under offer after less than a week on the market to a family of five. The sellers were thrilled with the efficient and premium result.

THE RENTAL MARKET
In the rental market, the number of available properties dropped by 3.1 per cent from the previous week, with 2,223 properties for rent at the end of the week. While this figure is 11.3 per cent lower than four weeks ago, it’s 36 per cent higher than the same time last year.
