THE LOCAL MARKET
REIWA is reporting there were 3,534 properties for sale in Perth a t the end of last week, similar to the previous week. House listings decreased by 1.1 per cent, unit listings increased by 3.7 per cent, and listings for vacant land decreased by 5.6 per cent. Overall, the total number of properties available for sale is 4.9 per cent lower than four weeks ago and a significant 42.6 per cent lower than a year ago.
Sales transactions in Perth last week saw a 5.7 per cent decline compared to the previous week, with REIWA reporting a total of 918 transactions. House sales were down by 6.4 per cent, while unit sales experienced a significant drop of 16.3 per cent. however, land sales surged by 34.2 per cent.
THE RENTAL MARKET
In the rental market, REIWA is reporting 2,259 properties available for rent in Perth at the end of last week, reflecting a 1.9 per cent increase from the previous week. Compared to four weeks ago, this figure is up by 10.5 per cent and 10.4 per cent higher than a year ago.
Fremantle was among Perth’s top-performing rental suburbs last week, with 11 properties rented.
REIWA is reporting 643 properties leased last week, which is a slight 2.4 per cent decrease from the previous week, but 2.7 per cent higher than four weeks ago and 3.4 per cent higher than a year ago.
